Blue Sapphire & Diamond Ring
This is an exceptional example of what is traditionally called a 'moi et toi' (meaning 'me and you') ring. With beveled gold detailing and sapphire-diamond combination, it's also crazy cool. Perhaps the most famous “moi et toi” ring is the sapphire-diamond combo Napoleon Bonaparte gave to Josephine. The ring remained in her family until it went up for auction in March 2013, perhaps not coincidentally Josephine’s 250th birthday. Josephine’s ring blew away the estimate, selling to the lucky bidder for over $1 million.
