This is an exceptional example of what is traditionally called a 'moi et toi' (meaning 'me and you') ring. With beveled gold detailing and sapphire-diamond combination, it's also crazy cool. Perhaps the most famous “moi et toi” ring is the sapphire-diamond combo Napoleon Bonaparte gave to Josephine. The ring remained in her family until it went up for auction in March 2013, perhaps not coincidentally Josephine’s 250th birthday.
